Galaxy S7: how to take a screenshot

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are two of the top Android smartphones of the year (if not the best), and Samsung has worked hard to make them thinner and lighter than ever before. We realize that some consumers are purchasing Samsung devices for the first time with the S7 series, and want to know how to perform basic functions on their handsets. I’ve been using Samsung devices for the last 4 years, but I realize that some new users may be using a Samsung smartphone for the first time in their lives.

With that said, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge pack a lot of power, not only the basic functions but also more advanced functions. And yet, you may want to do something like learn how to take a screenshot on the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge. If you’re new to Samsung smartphones and want to learn how to take a screenshot on the S7, we have a few simple steps for you:

  • First, press and hold the power/standby button while also holding down the home button. The power/standby button is on the right side of the display and the home button is the button beneath the front display.
  • After pressing both buttons at the same time, you should see the screen flash and then you’ll see that the photo has been saved to the gallery.
