A clock that shows you how long you have left to live

If you had the chance of knowing how many living days you have left, you would most probably use them in the most appropriate manner. An L.A. based firm- Seize the Day Technology, has designed this kind of watch called ‘28’ clock. The clock has a set approximate period that an average person lives, and it deducts each day on the time left to live. The clock has been set on an assumption that an average person lives 28,000 days/76 years and 260 days hence its name.

The main aim of this clock is not to scare people on how close they are close to dying but to motivate people to maximize their left days. According to the manufacturing firm, if you are 25, you have 19,000 days left to realize your dreams, and if you are 45, you have 12,000 days left to do all the activities and things you want in this life. Each day is a chance to continue living and an opportunity to change and start afresh.

It is evident that everybody will once die, but the clock reminds you to make the most out of each day. The limited time we have on the clock can be used to do anything we want to, while taking one day at a time.

The clock measures 6.8 inches long, 3.6 inches wide, and 2.1 inches thick. It is also very light making it highly portable. The wooden clock comes in black color.

The company that designed this watch has been crowdsourcing for the device and as of now has managed to raise just 6% of its $10,000 goal.

The ’28’ clock is not the first device to count down the days one has left to live. A device named Tikker was launched in 2013 on Kickstarter with the aim of predicting when someone would die. The clock requires a user to fill out a questionnaire about their medical history, whether they drink or smoke, instances of cancer and diabetics in their family and how much exercise they did before subtracting their age from the overall result to get their death score. This score was entered into Tickker and the countdown commenced. The device is widely available for about $50
