HTC 10 now $150 off all carriers and colors

The LG G5 is now at $479 with $150 worth of discounts and some $150 off the original retail price of the phone ($624), but some may not have an interest in picking the G5 up due to a number of problems with the handset. Well, the HTC 10 doesn’t have those problems, though, like all handsets, it is imperfect and comes with a number of problems of its own. Before I get ahead of myself, though, I should tell you that Taiwanese phone maker HTC is back to take $150 off the HTC 10, regardless of carrier and color.

Currently, the Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray, and Gunmetal Gray are all available for order at HTC’s website, though the Camellia Red will be available in a few days. The price of the HTC 10 has dropped from the original $699 price tag to $549 across the board, and a $550 price tag makes the phone more palatable to the majority of consumers who simply don’t think the HTC 10 holds a candle to Samsung’s Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7 Active, and new Galaxy Note 7. We’ve seen a few discounts before at $548 with Verizon, and HTC’s website. Unfortunately, the device didn’t sell well at T-Mobile despite its $85 deal, and within two months, Magenta pulled the Taiwanese flagship from its store shelves (so good luck finding it at T-Mobile if you’re a satisfied customer at the UNCarrier.

As we’ve done in many deals post on the HTC 10, we’re proud to tell you that the device features a 5.2-inch, IPS LCD panel with a Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440p, Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of storage (though Verizon has only the 32GB option), a 5MP front camera, 12MP back camera, and a 3,000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging. The HTC 10 comes pre-loaded with Android Marshmallow, seeing that this device was the HTC Perfume codenamed device we kept seeing creep up all over the blogosphere (though it came with Android 6.0.1, not 6.1). HTC has already said the HTC 10 will get Android 7.0 Nougat, so buyers are futureproof for the next two years on updates.

For those who want to get a more in-depth look at what the HTC 10 brings, check out our review and give it a good examination before jumping in, and be sure to take a second look at some HTC photos both in our review and from the announcement itself.
