Huawei’s first Smartwatch Launched at MWC 2015

Today was the first day of Mobile World Congress 2015 and Huawei has finally decided to officially launch their first Android Wear smartwatch. The Huawei watch was first seen in the two promotional videos leaked that were leaked earlier this week.

The design of the Huawei Watch is similar to LG Watch Urbane and Motorola Moto 360. Not only it has a perfectly round display like the LG Watch Urbane, but it also comes with thin bezels like the Moto 360. The Huawei watch is the first Android Wear smartwatch with a sapphire crystal. It has a 1.4-inch round AMOLED display, with a pixel resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. The pixel density is 286 pixel-per-inch making it sharper than the LG Watch Urbane and Moto 360.

The Huawei Watch offers a complete package with premium design and rock solid build quality. The body is made from 316L corrosive-resistant stainless steel body and comes with a variety of interchangeable bands.The interchangeable wristbands will be available for both men and women and will be offered in metal and leather. The smartwatch will be available in three colors, including Gold/Brown Leather, Silver and Black.

On the inside, the Huawei Watch features a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, along with 512MB RAM and Android Wear as its operating system. It also comes equipped with 4GB of internal storage. It will be able to pair with any Android smartphone using Bluetooth LE. Huawei has equipped their first smartwatch with all the standard features, including heart rate monitor, barometer and a 6-axis sensor. The 6-axis sensor is useful in fitness activities, as it helps the watch recognize the motion of the user and then automatically records the data accordingly.

Initially, the Huawei Watch will be launched in more than twenty countries and pricing information will made available at a later date. The Huawei Watch is a premium smartwatch and absolutely deserving of“Timeless design, Smart within” as its tagline.
