Nexus 5X discounted to $330, $50 off the original price

The Nexus 5X, the budget-friendly vanilla Android Google phone created with search engine giant Google and Android OEM LG, is something of a shadow to the Nexus 6P. After all, the Nexus 6P is Google’s 2015 flagship, and the Nexus 5X was created more out of demand than anything else. Simply put, there are a number of Android users within the consumer market that got comfortable with Google’s sub-$400 pricing on its flagship smartphones and frowned with disapproval when Google launched the Motorola Nexus 6 last year at the top-tier price of $649. The price range seemed to many Nexus faithful to be out of touch with Google’s budget-friendly mindset. The device responsible for the anger in Nexus fans is no longer available at the Google Store.

The Nexus 5X, though, brings customers back to a familiar price tag with which they can be proud — the sub-$400 price range. What may shock you, though, is that Google is now reducing the Nexus 5X even further so that more customers will buy it. The new price is taking it down to $329.99, or $330 for the matter-of-fact folks. That’s right: you can now pick up the 16GB Nexus 5X for $330, with the 32GB Nexus 5X costing $380 instead of the former price of $429.99. A 32GB device for $380 unlocked is a steal.

The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p, a hexa-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of storage, USB Type-C charging, and a 2,700mAh battery.

Keep in mind, too, that you’ll want to take advantage of the new Nexus Protect program that will support devices for 2 years with a $60+ price tag (which is all too affordable for 2 years of manufacturer warranty). Few smartphones have deals this affordable, so take advantage of this if you love the Nexus line and Google software. The deal will remain until December 30th, so you have some time after Christmas to decide (should you find yourself distracted by family over the holidays; we don’t blame you).
