Japan has been gloating about its access to the gold Nexus 6P that was crafted as a partnership between search engine giant Google and Chinese manufacturer Huawei. Well, now, Google has finally unleashed the gold smartphone on the US at both the Google Store and Best Buy stores.
The gold Nexus 6P packs the same specs and features as the other Nexus 6P models already at the Google Store, with the device coming in at $499 (32GB), $599 (64GB), and $649 (128GB) configurations. The device features a Quad HD, Super AMOLED panel that could only be done courtesy of Korean giant Samsung, an aluminum unibody with a fingerprint sensor on the back (Nexus Imprint, as it’s called), and is pre-loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the promise of fast, quick updates before 95% of the Android world. Google has brought some neat changes to Android Marshmallow, such as customizable app permissions, detailed battery stats, Doze, and others that will transform how you’ve experienced Android before.
The gold Nexus 6P packs a 3,450mAh battery, and light users should be able to get through a day without needing a recharge; more moderate users will struggle, according to battery tests done on the smartphone. Still, gold is a rare color that many want, so now’s the time to go ahead and pick one up. Google is also offering free shipping on all products — and that promise includes the new Matte Gold Nexus 6P. If you don’t know where to go, you can head to the Google Store link below for more details.
