Rainbow Six: Siege Releases New Trailer, Promotes Open Beta

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for their upcoming Rainbow Six Co-op title Siege. As the trailer came from Ubisoft UK division it is fitting that the voice over is inspired by William Shakespeare.

If you’re actually familiar with Shakespear’s Henry V you’ll know that the speech you year is not entirely the one by The Bard. While it opens well enough and gets the “once more unto the breach, dear friends” part right, which is the key bit you can’t really miss, much of the rest is modified or entirely new.

The “breach” is the key phrase in the trailer for more reason than one, as the act of breaching buildings is a key aspect of the gameplay. The game is focused around using the destructible environments in order to either engage terrorists or defend against the incursion, depending on which side you’re on.

The game is currently in open beta and will be released for current gen consoles and PC in January. The open beta has been having a number of issues on all platforms over the last day since it began. As of this moment, the Xbox One and PC betas appear to be working fine. The PS4 servers are being taken down right about now (3:00 PM Eastern) for an hour but Ubisoft says that once the servers return all problems should be fixed.
