Droid Turbo 2 tendrá acceso a Moto Maker, promoción de canje por pantallas agrietadas

The Droid Turbo 2 is scheduled for an arrival in ten days, and, as can be expected, we’re learning more about the upcoming powerhouse. The latest news says that the Droid Turbo 2 will, like the Moto X, have Moto Maker access alongside of a trade-in promo for cracked screens.

Moto Maker is Motorola’s own customization software for the Moto X, but Motorola has recently extended Moto Maker access to the Moto G, increasing the number of consumers who have access to the software. Now, the Droid Turbo 2 will join the list of Moto Maker-eligible smartphones. According to a leaked Verizon pamphlet from Android site Droid Life, “one color doesn’t fit all” when it comes to the next-generation Droid Turbo:

Customize your new Droid Turbo 2 with Moto Maker. Pick your color, and even choose materials like leather or ballistic nylon, offering you over 1,000 combinations,

the Droid Turbo 2 promo pamphlet says.

For those who purchase the 64GB Droid Turbo 2, Motorola offers one design refresh (an opportunity to request a second device with different back cover materials and colors) with your purchase. Of course, you’ll have to return the first Turbo 2 to get the refresh, but at least you’ll get to swap out the design and back cover materials for something different – should you decide you don’t like the previous choices.

There is an interesting promo attached, however: since the Droid Turbo 2 will have a Plastic OLED (P-OLED), shatter-resistant display, Motorola is offering you the opportunity to trade in your cracked screen smartphone (no matter how cracked, apparently, even with a large, “spider web” pattern) for $300 toward a Droid Turbo 2. Motorola wants you to get a Droid Turbo 2.

Motorola and Verizon are heavily marketing the Droid Maxx 2 (Moto X Play worldwide) as well, with a promise of $200 for a phone in good working condition. Apparently, the Droid Maxx 2 deal doesn’t include “spider web” smartphones. The Droid Maxx 2 will provide “up to 48 hours of battery life,” Motorola says, though it’s interesting that the Droid Turbo 2 hasn’t been marketed as providing 48 hours of battery life (a change from Motorola’s first-generation Droid Turbo claims).

The Droid Maxx 2 name had been leaked via Motorola’s Moto Email app (via the Play Store) recently, and the Droid Turbo 2 name is now officially leaked via the new campaign promo pamphlets.

Motorola and Verizon will go live with the announcement on October 27th, but these deals are pretty sweet. We’ll see what more these two companies have for us in the coming days, so stay tuned.
