Cómo entrar en modo de recuperación en Galaxy S4

At some point, you may need to enter recovery mode on your Samsung Galaxy S4, but not many people know how to it in the right way. In this guide, we will tell you how to enter the recovery mode correctly. Before we go through the steps required, it is worth considering in what instances would it be necessary to enter this mode. There are different cases in which entering the recovery mode would be necessary. In most cases, the recovery mode is needed when there is factory resetting on Android smartphone involved.

If your Samsung Galaxy S4 is running slow or not as fast as it used to and you think that there are any modifications caused by a virus, or you are just unable to fix a bricked device, a factory reset may be the best option. This is one of the scenarios when you would need to enter the recovery mode, although you may be able to use it for other purposes that are not related to a hard reset.

In general, the procedure is used when you need to flash an official Android firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S4 or if you have to clear the cache in case the ROM is slow. It is also possible to replace the default recovery with popular alternative custom recoveries for Samsung Galaxy S4 like ClockworkMod and Team Win Recovery Project. However, before you can apply a custom recovery, you need to enter the recovery mode on your handset first. Following the below steps, you will be able to boot your Samsung Galaxy S4 into recovery mode.

How to enter Recovery Mode on your Samsung Galaxy S4

  1. Turn your Samsung Galaxy S4 off. Allow a few seconds for it to completely power off
  2. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons at the same time for a few seconds
  3. Let the buttons go only when the Stock/CWM/ TWRP Recovery logo is shown on the screen
  4. Now you are in the main Recovery Mode menu. If you want to return the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Android OS, simply select “reboot system now”.

If the Samsung Galaxy S4 runs a custom ROM, you need to know that it is possible to boot into CWM/TWRP Recovery without turning the phone off. You just need to press the Power button until a menu appears on your device’s menu. Then you need to select “Reboot” and Recover” to be able to boot the device into recovery mode.

Anyway, if your Samsung Galaxy S4 runs a custom ROM, you must know that you can boot into CWM / TWRP Recovery without powering off the handset; all you have to do is pressing the Power button until a menu is shown on your device’s menu. And only then you must select ‘Reboot’ and ‘Recovery’ in order to boot the smartphone into recovery mode.
