The first option is to check is that the camera is not restricted. In the most recent versions of iOS, you need to make sure that it is set to green.

It is possible that the camera icon is hidden in a folder. In that case, the best thing would be to check every folder to try to find it. This may take a while, but if you accidentally moved the icon, it may be the bets way to find it.

Another possible solution is to go to Settings, then General, Reset and tap “Reset Home Screen Layout”. This will bring your home screen icons back to their default location so even if you moved them somewhere else, you can get them back to their original place.
