Google is getting ready to unveil its new Nexus devices, plural, a first for the Mountain View company. We’ve heard that Google will announce both the LG Nexus 2015 (or what is being called the Nexus 5X) and the Huawei Nexus on September 29th, but we now have a new pre-order date for both phones.
The date? October 13th, according to Talk Android. The source that spoke with the site says that the pre-order date will be two weeks from the announcement of the new Nexus devices, which makes sense.
We’ve covered the specs for the LG Nexus 2015, but we do have to mention that the name “Nexus 5X” for LG’s upcoming second-generation Nexus 5, is being tossed around for it. We label it “LG Nexus 2015” to distinguish it from the two-year old, first-generation Nexus 5 (2013), but we want to make sure you can know the name that may be announced for the device at the end of this month.
To reiterate, the LG Nexus 2015 or Nexus 5X will come with a $449 price tag, with the Huawei Nexus supposedly coming in at a $500+ price point – considering its larger, 5.7-inch display (as opposed to the LG Nexus 2015’s 5.2-inch display) and the use of Samsung’s Super AMOLED display in the panel.
