El HTC 10 Lifestyle es un teléfono, pero los estadounidenses no deben preocuparse por él

The HTC 10 Lifestyle was a phone name that surfaced the day before the HTC 10 announcement, leading many to wonder whether the phone 1) actually existed and 2) was a rugged version of the upcoming flagship. Well, the dust has settled on the HTC 10 (it lives!), and the fuss is nothing at all — really.

That’s the latest from Taiwanese phone maker HTC, who says that the HTC 10 Lifestyle is designed for non-American markets that exchanges the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood for Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor (which isn’t as good). The Snapdragon 652 is used for more mid-range phones, and it’s likely that HTC will charge less for the Snapdragon 652 handset as it will for the Snapdragon 820 handset. Additionally, the HTC 10 Lifestyle will have 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM as opposed to 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and no, it won’t be water-resistant. The HTC 10 Lifestyle will also be the most under-storaged model of both: while the HTC 10 will have 32/64GB storage models, the HTC 10 Lifestyle will only offer 32GB of storage. You do get the option of a 2TB microSD card slot, so there’s that to contemplate.

The HTC 10 was unveiled by way of a YouTube video from the company on April 12th, and only lasted 12 minutes. HTC talked about the new specs and features of the phone, as well as the company’s commitment to getting its cameras right. The HTC 10 features the same 5.2-inch, Quad HD display with a 1440p screen resolution, the industry-standard quad-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 32/64GB of storage. HTC has placed a 3,000mAh battery in the device which the company says can last for up to 2 days on a single charge. The device costs $699, won’t be offered for sale at AT&T, and can be purchased at HTC’s website with a $100 promo discount using the promo code we told you about yesterday. The phone will be available for purchase across American carriers Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile, as well as worldwide, in early May. You should browse through our HTC 10 photo gallery before you decide to jump on the deal, and you can download the new wallpapers if you’re feeling up to it.
