How to uninstall Xcode completely

In order to remove Xcode from Mac completely, you need to do the following:

1. Open Terminal via /Applications/Utilities/ and type this command:

sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=all

2. You will need to enter the admin password to confirm this action and allow the scripts to run.

You will also remove the Install Xcode application,. Once Xcode is uninstalled, the original Install Xcode application will still be located in /Applications/ folder so you also need to delete it.

Uninstall Xcode Unix development toolkit

1. Open Terminal app and enter the below command:

sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=unixdev

Uninstall Xcode Developer folder and contents only

By doing this, everything in the /Developer/ directory will be removed.

sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=xcodedir
