Moto Z desbloqueado a la venta por $700

The Moto Z was announced this summer but was a Verizon exclusive for some time. October is here, and, finally, after what has been a long wait, the unlocked Moto Z is now available for purchase from Motorola, Amazon, and B&H Photo.

The unlocked Moto Z (“unlocked” means it’s not tied to carriers so you can use it with either AT&T and T-Mobile, for those who may not know) features a 5.5-inch, Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440p) AMOLED display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 64GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expandable storage alongside of a 5MP front camera, 13MP back camera, and a 2,600mAh battery.

The unlocked Moto Z, as said above, only works with carriers AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as virtual network operator carriers such as Straight Talk (AT&T), for example (perhaps MetroPCS), so Verizon and Sprint customers won’t find this to their liking (the unlocked Moto Z isn’t compatible with these networks).

Keep in mind at this point that the unlocked Moto Z, for some reason, lacks any included MotoMods (unlike some earlier deals with the Moto Z), so you’ll have to pay additional money to purchase them. You won’t get one for free if you buy the Moto Z, as was the case with pre-order promos, so prepare to pay $300, for example, if you want the module projector Motorola is offering for the handset, or $70 or so for the JBL Audio speaker to amplify your phone’s audio.

For those who choose to go with an unlocked Moto Z, you’ll get a great phone with vanilla Android and some modules to play around with (if you can afford it), not to mention the opportunity to experience the “modular” movement. Motorola definitely has more modular style than LG did with the G5 earlier this year.

Anyone up for picking up an unlocked Moto Z?
