Los dispositivos Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4 y 2015 de Verizon recibirán la actualización a Android Marshmallow

T-Mobile has already confirmed its list of devices that will update to Android Marshmallow, and now, we have some devices confirmed indirectly from Samsung (not Verizon) regarding the Android Marshmallow update. My colleagues over at SamMobile, a site that works closely with Samsung, has issued a list of Samsung devices that are initially slated to get the latest in Android. While all the 2015 devices, the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note5, will all receive Android Marshmallow (not surprising for new devices), the Verizon Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note Edge, and Galaxy Note 4 are all being confirmed by Samsung as upcoming recipients of Android Marshmallow.

The model numbers on the Verizon network for the 2014 Android Marshmallow-eligible devices are the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V), Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I), Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925V), Galaxy S6 edge+ (SM-G928V), Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F), and Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920V).

For AT&T customers who’ve purchased the water and dust-resistant Galaxy S6 Active, you’ll be pleased to know that your device has also made the list with model number (SM-G920A), along with the Galaxy S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note 5.

This is an initial list, and more Samsung devices such as the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 could be added later, but these are the most recent devices. The Android Marshmallow list makes sense in this light, although it would be nice to see older devices get the update too. You can find out whether or not your device will receive Android Marshmallow by going to your system settings, selecting “about device,” and checking your Model Number.

We’ve provided the Android Marshmallow-eligible device list at the source link below to help you sort through the confusion and find out if you’re a fortunate or unfortunate recipient.
