If love music or you are often times on a call, having AirPods is convenient. Not only that, it is more comfortable than having wired earphones. Moreover, AirPods provide its users impressive benefits. Though that is the case, just like any other innovation, there could be some instances and issues when AirPods would give you frustration. One example would be when you are listening through your AirPods when suddenly you would hear some beeping. This could be very frustrating and stressful especially when you do not know why your AirPods are beeping.
Do not fret as beeping AirPods do not mean that something serious has happened to your AirPods. In most cases, your AirPods is just telling you that your AirPods’ battery is low. Keep in mind, however, that this will not always be the case. There could be instances when your AirPods are fully charged and would still continuously beep. This means that there could be other issues that you would have to address.
As mentioned earlier, the most common reason as to why your AirPods would beep is due to it being low battery which means you would need to charge it. It also means that the battery level is only at ten percent and once it reaches one percent, it would send you a power down chime sound and turn off automatically.
Another beeping notification could mean that you have successfully connected to another compatible device. However, for AirPods Pro, if you hear a long beep, this could mean that you are switching between noise canceling and transparent mode.
If it is only one of your AirPods that is beeping, this could mean that the battery of the beeping AirPod is damaged. It could also be that your AirPod was dropped or got wet.
Another reason could be that one of your AirPods lost battery faster than the other one. For you to be able to check and ensure that your AirPods have the same battery percentage, place the your AirPods inside the case and open the lid. Ensure that the case with AirPods in it is close or near to your iPhone or Mac or iPad.
We also suggest that you try to bring your AirPods to an Apple Store as there are some reports where users were able to get a replacement from Apple store.
The reason behind this is that it could mean that your connection is experiencing some interference. For you to be able to fix this, all you have to do is to go to settings of your iOS device. Select bluetooth and select forget this device – next to your AirPods’ name.
Put your AirPods inside the case and then close the lid. Leave them inside the case for about 15 to 30 seconds. Then open the lid and look for the setup button at the back of the AirPods case. Hold the button until it flashes the amber light then it would flash white. Ensure that your AirPods are next to your iOS device and follow the instructions that will pop up on your device’s screen and reconnect your AirPods. If your AirPods are still beeping, then we recommend for you to go or reach out to your Apple Support.
If your AirPods get wet, this could lead to your battery becoming damaged. Hence, it is important to ensure that you fully dry your AirPods first. If the beep does not go away, then, unfortunately, your AirPods’ battery could be damaged which means you will need to get a replacement.
Popping, static and crackling sounds could mean that your AirPods are experiencing some interference. It could also mean that there is an issue with an app or it could also mean that your AirPods are malfunctioning.
Just like normal AirPods, if your AirPods Pro beep due to low battery. It notifies the user that it is time to charge your AirPods Pro. In fact, you could check if your AirPods’ battery life would need a change by opening the AirPods’ case and ensure that the case is close to your phone. Check the battery health icon once your phone connects to the AirPods.
You could also ask Siri to assist you as well.
This could mean that one of your AirPods Pro needs to be charged. Charge it for at least 30 minutes and you are good to go.
Keep in mind that AirPods have water resistant elements. However, they are not 100 percent waterproof. There are some parts that are sensitive. Hence, if they get wet, try to dry them. You could put them into a large bowl of rice to absorb the moisture.
This could happen when the battery is low and that it is going to stop and turn off soon.
