La \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n de Apple TV fue lanzada en 2015 y actualmente es la principal opci\u00f3n soportada. La versi\u00f3n original de Apple TV ya no funciona ya que fue declarada como obsoleta a finales de 2015. Aunque la segunda y la tercera generaci\u00f3n se retiraron de las estanter\u00edas cuando se present\u00f3 la cuarta generaci\u00f3n, muchos usuarios todav\u00eda tendr\u00edan estos dispositivos. Apple est\u00e1 instando a los clientes a conseguir la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s reciente disponible y, aunque el hardware no se ha actualizado en casi dos a\u00f1os, en 2016 se lanz\u00f3 tvOS 10.
