How to fix iPhone 6 silent switch not working
This is an issue that has been reported by some iPhone 6 users. The iPhone ring/silent switch just gets stuck in silent mode and the mute button doesn’t work and the ring mode can’t be selected. While it seems like the issue was mainly reported by iPhone 6 users, it also affected other models including iPhone 5s. Here is how you can get the issue resolved in an easy and fast way.
How to fix the issue?
The first option that you can try when you are having issues with the mute button is to do the below:
- Enable Assistive touch. To do this, go to Settings, then General and Select Accessibility. You will see Assitive touch and you will have the option to turn it on.
- Tap circle and then select device.
- Once you have enabled this option, you have the chance to mute or unmute.
- Once you complete this step, you can disable Assitive touch.
If the above doesn’t help and you are still experiencing issues with iPhone ring/silent switch, the best option may be to bring the device to the Apple service center. You can check the iPhone warranty status online to confirm if the iPhone is covered under any warranty or Apple care.
