Le BlackBerry Priv tombe à $380 sur eBay

The BlackBerry Priv has its share of fans, those who’ve always had a soft spot in their hearts and wallets for BlackBerry. Many old-schoolers remember the old days when BlackBerry was the company to buy from (Samsung wasn’t heard of much in those days), and many true fans were saddened about BlackBerry’s fall. To see the company return to form with the Priv, which is a gorgeous device to see (and has a great camera to match) has been something of a good showing by the Canadian manufacturer. Okay, it’s not enough to make their business boom overnight, but it shows that, should BlackBerry stay the course with Android-powered handsets, the company just may end up keeping its name and fan base. It’s a good sign for things to come.

Well, the price tag has been something of a turnoff for many tech fans who, price aside, would consider the handset, but eBay has you covered. The online retailer is now listing the BlackBerry Priv at the lowest price we’ve seen it yet: $379.99 (or $380), a 42% discount from the original price.

The BlackBerry Priv in question is being sold by qualitycellz, a seller who has a 99.1% approval rate in sales (which is a strong indicator that you’re getting a good handset), and the device in question runs on GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) bands. This means that, if you’re a Sprint or Verizon customer, you shouldn’t consider buying the Priv. AT&T and T-Mobile customers can purchase this handset and use it with their respective carrier because those carriers utilize the same technology on their networks.

A one-year warranty and free shipping come along with the BlackBerry Priv, and the device specs, as usual, remain unchanged: a 5.4-inch, Quad HD AMOLED display with a 2,560 x 1,440p screen resolution, the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage with a 2MP front camera, 18MP back camera, dual curved edge design, and a 3,410mAh battery running Android 5,1.1 Lollipop. The Priv has been updated to Android Marshmallow, though, so you need not worry about having the latest update in Android with this handset. In other words, you’re getting zero compromises in the BlackBerry Priv. The unit on sale is a Black Priv, though, so keep that in mind.
