Championed by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany, France, the EU, and the United States, IMEC is a crucial component of the broader Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment initiated in June 2022. Its overarching goal is to implement infrastructure projects in low- and middle-income countries.
