Casque Gear VR gratuit pour l'achat d'un smartphone compatible

I’ve learned in tech that sometimes, it pays to wait and see the deals that surface. “Good things come to those who wait,” I’ve been told, and that seems to be true for Samsung fans who have been waiting to see what the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, and S7 Edge Plus will bring. Those smartphones are on the way, but it doesn’t mean you can’t splurge a little now, right?

This weekend, Samsung will give you a free Gear VR headset when you purchase or lease a compatible headset. The deal is being done through retailer Best Buy, and is likely a way to encourage smartphone adoption since we’ve also read that US smartphone sales at Best Buy were quite disappointing for the holiday season. You can also take advantage of this deal online as well, but the deal expires on Sunday (tomorrow).

I know I know…at this point, you want to run off to Best Buy. However, every deal has its caveats, and this deal is no different. First, you have to purchase a phone outright or lease a phone on an installment plan. If you don’t buy your phone outright, you’ll have to sign an agreement.

Next, you can’t just purchase any smartphone: you must purchase a smartphone that is compatible with Gear VR. Currently, the only Gear VR compatible phones available from Samsung are the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, the Galaxy S6 edge Plus, and the Galaxy Note 5. The prices on these smartphones are dropping, but they’ll still require at least $150 with a contract, if not the full amount if you don’t like agreements. But, look on the bright side: I bought my Note 5 for $150 down on an installment plan, then paid $126 (Gear VR + express shipping) to get both. That’s nearly $280 on Samsung; you, on the other hand, can get both items for nearly half of what I paid.

This is a deal that’s too good to pass up. You could wait for that Galaxy S7 edge, but you may not get a free Gear VR headset. If you’re curious about VR but don’t wanna pay for it, this deal is as good as it gets.
