La prise casque de l'iPhone 7 absente de la vidéo

The iPhone 7 headphone jack issue is one that has become something of a long discussion for diehard iPhone fans who’ve been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to upgrade from their current-generation iDevice to what’s next. After some maybes and maybe notset the rumor first arriving as of November 2015, we’ve finally arrived at a consensus that the iPhone 7 headphone jack will be absent on the upcoming device. The long-cherished 3.5mm headphone jack will be absent and missing, as confirmed not only by an Apple wireless headphone patent, iOS 9.3 beta code, and Apple’s very own iOS 9.1 code mentioning Li-Fi (lightning fidelity) capabilities, in addition to the Cirrus Logic MFi Headset Development Kit that is designed to show the advantages of wireless headphones over wired ones. This evidence tells us that there will be no iPhone 7 headphone jack in the phone’s future.

A new 6-second video shows us that there may be some truth to one rumor we’ve received. The six-second video isn’t all that clear to see (it has a horrid resolution), but it does seem to show that 1) there will be a second audio speaker at the bottom of the iPhone 7 instead of the 3.5mm headphone jack (which confirms an earlier rumor) and 2) there’ll be a larger camera sensor on the iPhone 7, likely due to the addition of optical image stabilization instead of megapixels. While both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus lack the 3.5mm headphone jack, the iPhone 7 Plus will have a dual camera setup that the regular iPhone 7 will not (not to mention a brighter, wider display).

There’s not much to tell, so take a look at the split-seconds video below and draw your own conclusions.

Will you be relieved to see the iPhone 7 headphone jack go, or would you rather stick to the old wired setup because it works for you?
