La Samsung Gear S2 disponible au Canada le 2 octobre, les États-Unis pourraient la voir arriver le même jour

We’ve been told that the Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic, the two versions of Samsung’s newest smartwatch, will be available in October (with no specified date), but we now have some indication as to when North America will see Samsung’s latest wearable. According to Best Buy Canada, the Gear S2 will arrive for Canadian residents on October 2nd. Currently, the original model will cost $399.99 in Canadian dollars, but the Classic Gear S2 will cost $429.99 in Canadian dollars. The prices were pointed out by YouTube member Kung Young, who searched for the new smartwatch at Best Buy Canada on his Galaxy Note5. You can identify the UI of the Note5 because of the new S Pen Window that appears on the near 4-minute video.

The Gear S2 was announced by Samsung at IFA 2015 in Berlin, Germany and features a 1.2-inch, Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 screen resolution, a 1Ghz, dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and features IP68 water resistance and dustproofing. While the Gear S2, like its predecessor, runs Tizen OS, it is also compatible with Android smartphones running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher (includes Lollipop and Android 6.0 Marshmallow). The Gear S2’s most stunning feature consists of the rotating bezel that allows you to navigate the circular UX, with apps having circular icons to match the circular smartwatch shape and interface. Samsung intends to release a 3G model at some point, but it’s unlikely the 3G model will arrive at the same time as these Bluetooth models (although time will tell).

Currently, you can pre-order any of the Gear S2 models (original and classic models), but keep in mind that these are Bluetooth-only and have no 3G or cellular connectivity. As for American customers, there’s still been no date set for when Canada’s southern brothers can expect the new Gear S2 smartwatch, but this is the best date we have for now.
