Comment désactiver l'écran du code d'accès

During the initial set up process of your iPhone or iPad, you are asked to enter a passcode. After the setup is completed, you will need to enter the code whenever you use your device. This code adds security as it will help you to prevent other people from using your iPhone or iPad without your permission. In case your device is stolen or lost, it won’t be possible to access the Settings on the device in order to disable the “Find My iPhone” features that enable you to locate the device and wipe its data remotely.

In spite of the advantages of having a passcode, this security option can be an inconvenience in certain cases and some people would prefer not to use this level of protection. If you don’t want to use a code on your iOS device, you can remove it following some simple steps. Here is what you need to do in order to disable the code on your iPhone or iPad to get access to all the options easier and quicker.

Disable the Passcode

How to disable the Passcode

  1. Go to the Settings app and select Passcode. You will be required to enter the code
  2. Once you have entered the code, the Turn Passcode Off option will appear at the top of the window. Select it and enter your code again when prompted.
  3. After you have entered the code one more time, the passcode function will be disabled on the device. You can confirm this because the screen will show the Turn Passcode On option. With the Passcode disabled, when the phone goes to sleep mode, you will be able to activate it and sue it without having to enter a code.

What if you want to keep the Passcode but with less hassle

If you like the idea of having additional security for your device and don’t want to get rid of the code, but at the same time, would prefer not to gave to enter it whenever you use your device, there is something else you can do. You can change the frequency in which the code is required.

With the passcode feature enabled, tap on “Require Passcode”. You will be able to select when should the code be required after the phone has remained inactive for a certain period of time. Keep in mind that selecting shorter times will provide a stronger level of security.
