ZTE Axon 7 with hi-fi audio now available in US

ZTE has had its phones in carriers in the US for some time, but the company has really brought them to small carriers like Boost Mobile (which doesn’t work for most customers who are part of the Big Four carriers T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon). Still, the manufacturer is looking to have more inroads into the States, and perhaps the company’s ZTE Axon 7 smartphone can help in that regard.

The ZTE Axon 7 is special in that ZTE partnered with BMW Group company Designworks to design the handset. In other words, the ZTE Axon 7 could easily be called “The BMW of smartphones,” despite the fact that it’ll have to do much to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, though. In addition to its BMW-like design, the ZTE Axon 7 also features two Hi-Fi audio chips as well as the flagship-expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. What this means is that you not only get BMW design but also BMW performance.

Now that we’ve gotten the unique details out of the way, here are the specs: the ZTE Axon 7 features, in addition to the Snapdragon 820 processor, an 8MP front camera and 20MP back camera with dual image stabilization (optical image stabilization and enhanced image stabilization), and a 3,250mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. The Axon 7 is available in Ion Gold and Quartz Gray colors, with a price tag of $399.98 outright. ZTE will ship the device on August 17th. New orders will ship no later than September 9th.

The Axon 7 has a Snapdragon 820 processor that will beat the ZMAX Pro’s Snapdragon 617 processor, which explains why it costs four times as much (around $400 versus $99), but you can’t go wrong with the Axon 7 or the ZMAX Pro. ZTE is interested in winning your business. If you’re in the mood to try something different, hit up the source link below and let us know you purchased the device and why.
