Change the VGC Startup Type to Automatic

  • Press Windows+R
  • Type services.msc
  • Click ok
  • Right click VGV service
  • Select Properties
  • Open Startup type drop down menu
  • Select Automatic
  • Click Start
  • Click Apply
  • Click Ok
  • Restart your PC
  • Launch Valorant

If you get an error stating “Windows could not start the vgc service on Local Computer Error 1 Incorrect Function, follow the steps below

  • Right click on Start
  • Select Apps and Features
  • Search for Riot Vanguard
  • Click uninstall
  • Click again uninstall
  • Click yes
  • Press Windows + R
  • Type CMD
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Enter
  • type in bcdedit – set TESTSIGNING OFF
  • type – set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS OFF
  • Disable secure boot
  • Run the Valorant launcher
  • Restart PC
  • Press Windows + R
  • Type service.msg
  • Click Ok
  • Right click VGC
  • Select Properties
  • Open Startup type drop down menu
  • Select Automatic
  • Click Start
  • Click Apply
  • Click Ok
