How to take a screenshot on the HTC 10

So you’ve got your HTC 10 in your hands for the first time, downloaded your first theme from HTC’s theme store, and want to show it off to your friends on social media. To do that, though, you’ll need to learn how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10. The steps are easy and simple and will become natural once you learn how to do it.

Here’s how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10:

  • First, to learn how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10, make sure that your screen is turned on. The screenshot feature will not work if the screen is turned off. You may even need to visit your display settings and adjust your screen timeout if your screen turns off in the middle of the steps written here.
  • Once your screen is on, you can learn how to take a screenshot by holding down the volume down and power buttons. These are located on the right-hand side of the phone. You may find that you need to use one hand to hold down the volume down button and the unoccupied hand for the second button.
  • Next, to learn how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10, make sure that you press both buttons at the same time. Once you do, you should see the screen flash, and a little square that appears (a little photo of the page) and disappears in a second or two. Once the little square disappears, it will reappear as a small icon at the top left corner of the phone display.
  • There’s another way to learn how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10 by pressing the power button and the fingerprint sensor (beneath the display) at the same time. It works the same effect and may choose to be a more simple approach for some users.

That’s it, that’s all you need to learn how to take a screenshot on the HTC 10. For extra help, you can click on our animated GIF below and view the animated photo on a second screen.
