iBattz Mojo BattStation Optimus 20400 Review

In this generation, people have become more dependent on battery-operated devices like smartphones, laptops, MP3 players, and tablets. The problem is these gadgets don’t work when in empty batteries. But thanks to The iBattz Mojo BattStation Optimus for taking recharging to a different level.

The Mojo BattStation Optimus charges for a total of 15 hours to fully enjoy its 20,400mAh all packed in a small 5.5 x 2.75 x 0.75 inches. That is enormous mAh compared to an average of 8000mAh to 15000mAh backup battery. The BattStation Optimus, with a black, non-slip rubberized case, has the power to fully charge a normal tablet twice and smartphone for eight times.

It comes with a LED flashlight a series of four LED lights that blink blue as indicator to the percentage of power it has when charging. To know when it’s time to recharge, check if there’s only one blue light blinking left.

Its internal battery is a Panasonic automotive-grade lithium ion cells, the one used in giving power to electric cars. It also helps in keeping the overall weight and size manageable.

Advantages

You can use whatever USB plug you have that is compatible with your gadget in the BattStation Optimus, although a micro-USB to USB charging cord is already included, plus an Android adapter plug and an Apple 30-pin in the package.

You can also charge two devices simultaneously because it has two USB ports –a 1A and a 2.1A – with the latter charges faster. In testing this power bank in an iPhone 6, a full charge was obtained after 2 hours. Also, it does not overcharge a device.

Disadvantages

Since its battery is heavy, it is 12.5 oz heavy. Also, it needs protection from harsh weather conditions since it’s not weatherproof.

Also, no electrical plug is included in the package. In addition, there is no automatic start of the power bank, you have to switch the “ON” button to make it work.

One con is upon testing the Apple 30-pin plug for file transfer, it didn’t work.If you check the manual on how to make it work, you won’t find anything relevant in there.

Verdict

If you do not want to experience those empty battery moments where you cannot make an important call or email, then the BattStation Optimus is a good investment. Its high mAh can take away your worries in draining batteries.
