MacBook gets faster processors, better battery life, and a Rose Gold touch

Apple has released an update to the Retina MacBook line introducing the latest Intel processor, faster flash storage, improved graphics and an additional battery life. It’s only been a year since Apple released this line of MacBook and now it has decided to give them more power upgrade and a quality finish.
The new processors are Intel’s 6th generation Core M. They range from 1.1GHz to 1.3GHz depending on the configuration. Apple has also upgraded Mac’s memory from 1600 MHZ version of last year to a faster 1866MHZ module. Integrated graphics have been bumped into Intel’s more powerful 515 modules that promise a 25% better performance. A faster PCIe-based flash storage has been fitted. It will make everyday task e.g. Launching apps, feel faster.
In additional to the improved performance, Apple has upgraded the Mac’s battery to last up to 10 hours of web surfing and 11 hours of continuous movie playback. The battery will now last 1 hour longer than the older model. In the Retina MacBook The Verge review last year, the battery was close to Apple’s estimates though the laptop could easily be overwhelmed with performance-intensive tasks. The new processors and faster memory will most probably make a difference in this and enable the battery to last the completely approximated time.
The MacBook will now be available in four aluminum finishes – Space gray, gold, silver, and a rose gold, which is a new introduction. Most of the other features of the previous model have been maintained though it is worth noting that the MacBook has some cool technologies. For instance, it entirely fans less making it completely silent. It has been equipped with latest technologies including built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.9 for efficient wireless connectivity.
The Mac also has a stunning 12-inch display, force Touch trackpad, highly responsive full-sized keyboard and a versatile USB-C port. It is quite portable weighing only 2 pounds and baring a 13.3 mm thickness. The MacBook is perfect for streaming content to Apple TV using AirPlay and exchanging files quickly using AirDrop or using wireless headphones.
The updated MacBook is available at Apple’s online store with a price range of $1,299 for 1.1 GHz model that has an 8GB RAM and 256 GB of storage to $1,599 for 1.2GHz processor with an 8 GB RAM and 512 GB of storage. The 1.3 GHz Core m7 is only available in build-to-order machines.
