Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Review – Is It Worth It?

The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation pro is a high-capacity battery designed to charge any device, while enduring the elements.

Design and Advantages

The Powerstation Pro poses as handy and functional with size as small as iPod classic, but double the thickness.

It is mostly coated with rubber to prevent any damage when inside the bag. It’s also hardwearing and high-friction, too.

The Powerstation Pro has a high scratch-free feature with its industrial lines accentuating its ruggedness. Its front part has an anodized metal and rubber edges that extrudes to prevent it from scratches.

Not only that; it also has an impressive weather-proofing feature. It is dust and water proof that’s why it’s a certified IP65 level.

It has two rubber flaps on the bottom edge to supports its weatherproofing feature. It has two USB ports – one is a microUSB to charge its internal battery (6000mAh) and the other one is where you can plug whatever cable your device requires whether it’s a Lightning, 30-pin charger, or a microUSB.

To know how much power is left for charging, check the sides of the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro where a single rubber button sits that lights a four-dot indicator located at the front metal panel when pressed.

Even though it’s designed for a rough treatment, it’s still one classy battery unit. Aesthetics is considered in designing the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro.

Performance

The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro has a similar amp rating with an iPad 3 adapter since it has an output reaching 2.1A. It will charge quickly and automatically alters the output relative to the plugged in device.

With Powerstation Pro, a smartphone like the iPhone 4 charges fully twice and can last a full week or longer with a minimal mobile data use.

Disadvantages

The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro was not designed for devices like an iPad 3 with a 11,666 battery for it’s twice as big as the Powerstation Pro.

One disadvantage is that it doesn’t automatically switch off even when the device has been fully charged. The Powerstation may drain its own battery when left charging overnight.

Verdict

The Mophie Juice Pack Universal Powerstation Pro has remained a true high-quality mobile battery charger. It is not only handy and aesthetically outstanding, but also  highly portable with flexible USB ports. And talk about an insert-free charging for numerous devices, makes it really worth the money.
