Nexus 5X is available for purchase in the US

Google unveiled its Nexus 6P (Huawei) and Nexus 5X (LG) devices last month, and, as always, it takes time between the announcement and the devices’ official release. Finally, after some weeks of waiting, the LG Nexus 5X is now available for purchase in the US.

The LG Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch, LCD screen with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p, a hexa-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (the same processor found in the LG G4), a 13MP back camera, fingerprint sensor, and the new USB Type-C charging cable that not only provides fast charging but also lets you charge other devices (reverse charging), not to mention its plastic build and Android 6.0 Marshmallow update out of the box. The Nexus 5X comes in two storage models, 16GB ($379.99) and 32GB ($429.99).

This third-generation LG device with Google is a return to the budget-friendly price range that made Google so famous. The Motorola Nexus 6 had a premium price tag of $649, which didn’t work for those looking for a Nexus device on a budget. The Nexus 5X also features Android Marshmallow, which has brought some much-needed changes to Android as a whole.

The LG Nexus 5X has made the US its first market, but the new Google device will also head to Latin America, Asia, and Europe in the coming weeks. You can also pick up the device and use it on Verizon’s network – should you want the best coverage in the country and the best of Google, all at the same time.
