OnePlus One ban lifted in India

Recently OnePlus a Chinese manufacturer got banned from selling their OnePlus One smartphone inside the Indian market because of using software and logo rights of Cyanogenmod, reason being as Cyanogenmod gave exclusive rights to Micromax for using their software and logo inside India.

The ban was put upon by the Delhi High Court and now the court has decided to lift off the ban allowing OnePlus to continue selling their OnePlus One smartphone. There is a catch to it though as till January 7^th which is when both companies will present their cases including OnePlus and Micromax, OnePlus is allowed to sell their smartphone in India.

The reason why the ban was removed is because the judge of the Delhi High Court thinks that OnePlus wasn’t allowed to tell their side of the story, as Micromax was the only one who took legal actions. According to OnePlus there is a huge difference between their OnePlus One smartphone and Micromax Yureka smartphone as they as priced INR 22,000 and INR 8,000 respectively, therefore Micromax should have no issues in terms of competition. Both of the smartphone also uses different versions of the same OS whereas the OnePlus One uses Cyanogenmod 11s while the Micromax Yureka uses Cyanogenmod 11.

Both Cyanogenmod and OnePlus One are requested to submit their respected statements to the court by the 7^th of January whereas the Delhi High Court has also pointed Cyanogenmod as the villain of this whole situation.

OnePlus One is equipped with a 5.5 inch display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, 16 or 64GB of onboard memory, 13MP camera on the back while a 5MP camera on the front and to power it all a 3100mAh battery.
