Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus to come with keyboard cover

Earlier this week, a keyboard cover for the Galaxy S6 edge+ leaked on the Web. At that time, the keyboard was considered to be nothing short of anachronistic and old-school. The response to the keyboard on the Web was that it was a concept someone drew up that attempted to repeat the popularity of the BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard.

Well, new information proves that what many saw as “the concept” is a living keyboard cover, indeed. The new keyboard cover for the Galaxy S6 edge+ (called “Galaxy S6 edge Plus”) has been spotted with the price of 60 Euro ($65.81 USD), along with a Flip Wallet (25 Euro = $27.42 USD), a Glossy Cover for the same price ($27.42), and a Clearview Cover (40 Euro = $43.87). The Galaxy S6 edge+ is a wider-screened version of the Galaxy S6 edge, the device with a cool, new form factor Samsung announced at Mobile World Congress on March 1st. The new keyboard cover looks to be the most expensive new accessory for the upcoming gadget.

The same source that posted the prices of the Galaxy S6 edge+ covers has also leaked a keyboard cover for the Galaxy S6+ (or Galaxy S6 Plus), a device that has had some time in the rumor mill but hasn’t been watched as closely as the edge Plus device. The Galaxy S6+ will be an enlarged version of the current Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge come with 5.1-inch, Super AMOLED displays, so Samsung is increasing the screen sizes from 5.1 inches to as high as 5.5 inches.

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S6 edge Plus and the Galaxy S6 Plus at the Korean manufacturer’s Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event this Thursday, August 13th, at the Lincoln Center in New York City around 11:00am EDT. The Galaxy S6 edge Plus and the Galaxy S6 Plus will go on sale on August 21st, the same day as the company will roll out the Galaxy Note 5 worldwide.
