Disabling the notification badges in Samsung devices is actually quite simple. The notifications appear due to the fact that the system app known as BadgeProvider is constantly running in the background. This consumes a high amount of battery power, although it won’t completely deplete it. In theory, by turning off BadgeProvider or shutting it down, it is possible to disable all the notification badges. In order to disable the BadgeProvider system app in your Android device, all you need to do is to follow the below steps.

It is worth noting that BadgeProvider is a convenient utility that provides alerts for notifications that are not seen and you don’t even need to open the apps. With this in mind, it would be better not to disable notification badge on you Samsung device. If you prefer to do so, at least temporarily, you can then re-enable the app to get all its push notifications. However, if you remove the app completely, you won’t be able to get it back. This is why it is important to back it up before you attempt to disable it for good in your Samsung device.
