Pages is a fantastic word processor that allows you to create high quality documents on Mac or iOS using iCloud or iWork. Although it was developed by Apple, it works with Microsoft Word as well. One of the best things about it is the cross-platform support that it offers as members of the team (even those using a Windows PC) can join just by signing in to iCloud.com and opening Pages. Then they can get access to the document and start editing. Pages documents are saved as Pages format file (such as macreports.pages) by default. iCloud is the most practical option to get access to Pages in order to view and edit documents, even if you don’t have a Mac or an iOS device. Since 2015, Pages is available on a web interface that can be accessed through the iCloud website. This enables Microsoft Windows users to create and edit documents on the web via iCloud. It is possible to use any web browser from a Windows PC and you just need to upload your document to Pages for iCloud from any device.

1. Go to icloud.com
2. Create a free Apple ID account (if you don’t have one yet) so that you can get 1GB of free iCloud storage. You will need the Apple ID to sign into iCloud.
3. Click on Pages
4. Upload the Pages document that you want to view and edit. The document can be uploaded by dragging it from your desktop or click the Settings icon and then select “Upload”.
5. You will be able to view and edit the document using your web browser. Alternatively, you can try to export your Pages documents as .doc or docx and edit it on your desktop. This can be done by selecting “Tools”, then “Download a Copy…” and pick the file format from the available list: Pages, pdf, pub and doc. The document will be saved on your computer and you can open it using Microsoft Word to start editing it.
