The long anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight<\/em> was released this week and the reviews are near universally positive\u2026as long as you\u2019re playing on a console. The PC version of the game has been plagued with problems and it\u2019s gotten so bad that Warner brothers has actually decided to suspend the games sales \u00a0until fixes have been found.<\/p>\n

WB Games posted the following on the games Steam community:<\/p>\n

Dear Batman: Arkham Knight<\/em> PC owners,<\/p>\n

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight<\/em> on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.<\/p>\n

Thank you to those players who have already given valuable feedback. We are continuously monitoring all threads posted in the Official Batman: Arkham Knight\u00a0<\/em>Community and Steam forums, as well as any issues logged with our Customer Support (http:\/\/support.wbgames.com\/<\/a>). If you purchased your copy of the game and are not satisfied with your experience, then we ask for your patience while these issues are resolved. If desired, you can request a refund at\u00a0https:\/\/help.steampowered.com<\/a>\u00a0(Steam refund policies can be found here:\u00a0http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/steam_refunds<\/a>) or the retail location where you purchased the game.<\/p>\n

Bu Batman: Arkham<\/em> fans have continually supported the franchise to its current height of success, and we want to thank you for your patience as we work to deliver an updated version of Batman: Arkham Knight<\/em> on PC so you can all enjoy the final chapter of the Batman: Arkham<\/em> series as it was meant to be played.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bu Arkham Knight<\/em> issues are not limited to a single type of graphics card as both NVIDA and ATI owners are having issues. The primary problem\u00a0seems to be the game\u2019s frame rate, which is locked at 30 frames per second, but that number falls through the floor whenever you\u2019re driving the Batmobile.<\/p>\n

The potential silver lining here is that will likely put Steam\u2019s new refund policy<\/a> through it\u2019s paces. Some have already requested refunds while others surely will now that it looks like patches are coming later rather than sooner.<\/p>\n
