Recently Samsung closed their own experience store in London by a following message saying that “We regret to announce that we will be closing the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City at the end of this year”.
If you don’t know an experience store is a store which is used by Samsung to retail their main flagship devices upon their launch, as it’s where the smartphones are made available first like the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5. The experience store that is now closed had over 53 full-time and 5 part-time staff members and Samsung has said that they will do their best to accommodate these employees in other stores inside of London or provide them with financial packages if they wish to work somewhere else.
Samsung experience store is going to be the only one that the company has shut down inside London and has no further plans to do so with their other stores as the company said that “We remain fully committed to the operation of the remaining nine Samsung Experience Stores across the UK, and wish to reassure our customers that those stores will not be affected by this decision”.
The reason why Samsung did this must have been because of the recent decline in the profits of the company as the new competitors began to rise with time. Samsung will also be keeping a lite hand on their segments of smartphones for the next year and will launch only a couple of smartphones to reduce further decline in their profits.
Galaxy S5 was a total flop for the company this year and with Galaxy S6 the company is said to be back on the drawing board to come up with a new and unique design for their upcoming Galaxy S6, so that the company won’t have to face losses again.
