Apple announced iPad Mini 3 with Retina Display
Apple launched two new tablets today including the refreshed version of iPad Air known as iPad Air 2 and a refreshed version of iPad Mini known as iPad Mini 3. iPad Air 2 has been updated in every way when it comes to the internal specs or the design of the tablet but same can’t be said about the iPad Mini 3.
The only two things that were updated on the new iPad Mini 3 is the adding of Touch ID sensor and a new golden color aside from that everything is the same as its predecessor. The tablet comes with the same retina display, the same A7 processor though users would be able to make online Apple Pay purchases through the new Touch ID sensor.
Apple will start taking preorders from the new iPad Mini 3 starting from 17th of October and will be available in three colors including silver, space grey and golden with storage space of 16, 64, and 128GB. The Wi-Fi only version of the iPad Mini 3 would be sold for $399/$499/$599 for 16, 64, and 128GB respectively while the Wi-Fi plus cellular version would be sold for $529/$629/$729 for 16, 64, and 128GB respectively.
Other than that Apple will also put its predecessor versions including the iPad Mini and iPad Mini 2 on discount prices. So users do have a benefit here because for those who don’t need a Touch ID sensor on their iPad Mini can get one for a discounted price. Apple also said that both the tablets will give up to 10 hours of battery life.
What do you think about the iPad Mini 3 is it worth an upgrade for a Touch ID sensor, If yes then why?
