Apple lanza iOS 8.1.1
Apple launched a new update this Monday which is said to boost the performance on both the iPhone 4s and iPad2. The iOS 8.1.1 update brings some bug fixes and security updates as well but what’s important about this update is that it would speed up the OS on both iPhone 4s and iPad2 which are old iDevice models and we have all seen iOS 8 doesn’t run smooth on either of them, but with this update Apple has said to have improved the performance.
iOS users were also facing problems with both iCloud Drive and iWork with iOS 8 and with iOS 8.1.1 Apple has resolved these issues. The update is fairly short and shouldn’t take time at all to download and get installed. iOS devices that are going to receive the iOS 8.1.1 update are Apple iPhone 4s, Apple iPhone 5, Apple iPhone 5c, Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 6, and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. All iPad models will also be receiving the latest update except the OG Apple iPad model.
To update your iOS device go into Settings > General > Software Update, do make sure that you have at least 50% of battery left In your smartphone before starting with the update and make sure your iOS device doesn’t get turned off in the middle of the update. Also make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection while downloading the update.
It’s good to see Apple making an effort to increase iOS 8 performance on both Apple iPhone 4s and Apple iPad 2 as both the devices lags a lot while running iOS 8 compared to later iOS devices. Have you received the update yet, if yes than have you noticed any performance boost while running iOS 8.1.1.
