American HTC One M8 users have already started getting Android Marshmallow on their handsets, but Europe is still waiting for its Android Marshmallow dessert goodness. According to HTC tweeter @LlabTooFeR, the wait will end in two weeks:
Final M8 Android 6.0 and Sense 7.0 update for Europe will be available in about 2 weeks. It will be in build range 6.12.401.x.
We’ve detailed what Android Marshmallow (known as 6.0) will bring to the table, such as customizable app permissions, Doze battery mode, the “harshmallows” Easter egg, more detailed battery stats, native fingerprint support, native SD card support, and so on, but we don’t have much of an idea about Sense 7.0 — HTC’s overlay on Android Lollipop (and soon, Marshmallow) that brings HTC’s own features and look to its own devices.
What we do know about Sense 7 within Android Marshmallow is that it will allow you to further customize themes while HTC has taken the task on its shoulders of fixing its camera app to incorporate all cameras within the swipe motion, made its icons smaller so that you can have more space for apps and notifications, changed the keyboard and added some volume controls reminiscent of Android Lollipop.
