LG G5 SE released in Russia with downgraded processor

The LG G5 SE, LG’s watered-down version of the flagship LG G5 smartphone, has been announced in Russia as of this week, and the device packs all that we said it would previously. Contrary to some interesting rumors that believed it to be a smaller-displayed handset for customers wanting a sub-5-inch display on an Android smartphone with the latest specs, LG designed the handset for certain markets in Europe and Latin America.

The LG G5 sticks with the same 5.3-inch, Quad HD display, dual back camera setup, LG Friends module integration, and so on. Of course, the Snapdragon 652 processor is designed for mid-end and low-end handsets, so the LG G5 SE won’t sell for the same top-tier price that the LG G5 is selling for ($600-$700 in the US, depending on carrier).

Korean manufacturer LG announced the LG G5 on February 21st at Mobile World Congress 2016 and released it worldwide on April 1st, 2016. The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch, Quad HD display with a 1440p screen resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB of storage, an 8MP front camera, an 8MP back and 16MP wide angle camera, as well as a modular metal design with a 2,800mAh battery that can be swapped out for another working battery whenever you need it. The LG G5 SE is likely to have a smaller price tag than the company’s flagship, though
