How to sign out of iCloud On your iPhone

iCloud keeps all your Apple devices synced, allowing you to share data between them. The data is updated automatically on your iPad, iPhone and other devices to ensure that the latest version is available on all of them. iCloud offers seamless performance without requiring any specific action on your side. It runs on the background, ensuring that your files are automatically available on all the devices connected to it. If you make purchases on iTunes, create a document or take photos using your iPhone, iCloud will ensure that the data can be accessed on your other devices. You don’t even need to transfer it manually to your computer. iCloud supports photos, documents, Notes, Safari bookmarks, Contacts, Calendars, purchases on iTunes and more.
iCloud keeps your data secure on a remote server. Since your information is stored online (or in the “cloud”), you can access it from anywhere, whenever needed. In order to start using iCloud, you need to set up an account first, but there are no fees involved. In general, your iCloud account can be the same as your Apple ID, which is the email address that you used to sign up for iTunes. The Apple ID and password are the credentials needed to download songs or music. Using the Apple ID to create your iCloud account can be practical as you won’t need to remember different login details. However, it is important to keep in mind that if the Apple ID is used by more than one person, it is advisable to create a different iCloud account.
iCloud is a practical solution to store and manage your data, but if you want to sign out, the process is very easy. Signing out of iCloud on your iPhone takes only a few steps. Just go to Settings, then iCloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen. There you will be able to select Sign Out. Once you do this, the iCloud account will be deleted from your iPhone, but it won’t be removed from other devices. You will still be able to log in to your iCloud account by going to https://www.icloud.com.
After you select Sign Out, you will be asked if you want to get rid of the data, or keep it on the iPhone. If you choose to delete the data from the iPhone, all the iCloud data including all contacts, will be deleted. If you decide to keep all the iCloud data on the device and sign in using another Apple ID, it is possible to add the iCloud data including calendar and contacts, to the iCloud account associated to the new Apple ID.
