Take a screenshot on the LG G5
The LG G5 has only been available for a few days, but we’ve got one in our hands and can put it to good use. If you’re coming from a Samsung handset, you’ll have adjusted to Palm Swipe to Capture and the buttons you use to capture a screenshot. However, you’ll have to readjust your knowledge or learn something new, rather, when you arrive at the LG G5. The G5 doesn’t function like the Samsung Galaxy smartphones do, and LG has some different implementations regarding similar features to Samsung that may make you scratch your head. One of these “head-scratching” functions involves how to take a screenshot on the LG G5.
Do not despair; the experience can be frustrating at first, but you’ve only had the handset for a few days. Things will get easier, and we’re here to help you along. To take a screenshot on the LG G5, you need only perform the following steps:
- hold down the volume rocker on the left side of the display and the fingerprint sensor/power button on the back of the phone at the same time.
- After you do this, the LG G5 will show a flash on the screen, at which point your photo will be saved to a “screenshots” album in your photo gallery.
There is another way to take a screenshot on the LG G5 as well: you can enable the QuickMemo+ on-screen navigation button in the G5’s Display settings, then tap it to take a screenshot that gets sent to the QuickMemo+ album in your photo gallery. You can find pictures of hand placement on the device below to aid you in your screenshot.
