Se rumorea que Xiaomi lanzará un smartphone USB-C en el futuro
After Apple incorporated a Type-C USB port to its 2015 MacBook, other companies have decided that their products are going to be feature the same connectivity port, which will no doubt turn the connector in to a universal standard in the near future. Chinese tech sensation Xiaomi, which will be releasing its Mi 4i smartphone in India, is rumored to be working on a smartphone that will sport a Type-C USB port.
According to a source, the upcoming handset is also going to be running Google’s Android Lollipop 5.0 update, along with MediaTek’s powerful MT6795 SoC, which is far more capable than the Taiwanese’s MT6752 present inside Lenovo K3 Note y Elephone P7000. Since all of the company’s smartphones are running its customized interface, there is no doubt that the upcoming smartphone will be possessing the same one.
However, as far as the SoC goes, there are very few handsets belonging to Xiaomi that feature MediaTek’s chipsets. The company is known for assimilating Qualcomm’s chipsets in its flagship and mid-ranged handsets, with Mi Note Pro, Mi Note, and Mi 4i being notable devices from the company’s portfolio. However, with MediaTek’s current mission to target the higher-tier markets coupled with entry-level ones, it is possible that the Chinese smartphone maker has opted to choose the Taiwanese firm’s chips because it will end up lowering the overall cost of the smartphone.
However, since these are just rumors, they can easily be debunked till an official statement has been made from a representative of the company. Xiaomi is also reported to be working on the successor of Mi Pad, which was the first ever slate to be released by the company. It is said to feature’s Intel’s powerful Atom SoC, along with a boatload of other features.
