10. Street Fighter V
The Street Fighter series has always been part of the core fighting games, along with Mortal Kombat and Tekken. Thankfully, Capcom has done a great job this time around, bring the franchise to interesting new highs. Filled with new characters, a new ‘V-Gauge’ and a bunch of interactive arenas, Street Fighter V will have you playing into the wee hours of the night and is a must for any fighting game fan who also owns a PS4.
9. Little Big Planet 3
The creative’s paradise, the Little Big Planet series made big waves when it first released in 2008. Billed as a puzzle-platformer with sandbox elements, this game is literally, loads of fun. The visuals are really stunning for this kind of game, and the create mode is better than ever, so your imagination really is the limit. If you’ve enjoyed Sackboy’s adventures over Little Big Planet 1 & 2, then you’ll definitely want to continue the journey with this latest installment.
8. Super Stardust Ultra
Shoot ‘em ups have always been massive, starting with Asteroids on arcade machines in the 80’s, the genre has grown a lot over the past few decades. That being said, there aren’t many shoot ‘em ups on the PS4, and this one is probably one of the best. Supporting several game modes with their own unique leaderboards, Super Stardust Ultra harkens back to the simpler days of gaming, with nothing but you, your target, and whatever you have handy to take that target out.
7. Infamous: Second Son
A big IP and a really good open world, action adventure, Infamous: Second son is an exercise in destructive fun. Set in a fictionalized world where society has come to hate those with supernatural powers, you are ‘gifted’ a set of super powers which you gradually unlock and try to gain revenge on somebody who killed your ‘family’. If you enjoy other open world games like Far Cry and Watchdogs, then this game should fit really well into your gaming library.
6. Uncharted 4
Following the theme of large IPs, the Uncharted series is probably one of the biggest. Starring the titular Nathan Drake, you globe trot around the world on often irresponsible and dangerous adventures. Unfortunately, this game isn’t out yet, but it’s coming real soon on May 10th, but this is definitely on the list of most anticipated games coming in 2016.
5. Until Dawn
Included in our list of Les meilleurs jeux vidéo d'horreur de 2015,this game takes an old approach in an interesting light. Using its own ‘Butterfly effect’ system, every action and decision you take changes the world around you and the story in some way. This necessitates that you play the game several times and make different choices each time to get the “full” story.
While this might sound a little bit tiring, the game does this mechanic well and makes replaying the game for the sake of exploration really fun. In addition to that, this game is really creepy and weird, so if you’re in the mood for horror games, you should definitely add Until dawn to your game library.

4. The Last of Us Remastered
The Last of Us takes the zombie concept and turns it on its head. Where most games would have you running around and killing mercilessly, this one makes sneaking paramount. Escorting a child, and with resources scarce, you will have to carefully navigate through a world falling apart, while avoiding things that want to kill you, and then eat you.
So why should you play a remastered game? Well, Naughty Dog has done a great job of bringing this game to the next generation of console. The graphics have been spruced up a lot, and the developers take advantage of the unique design of the PS4 controller by allowing you to browse through the inventory with the touch pad, and listening to audio recordings through the controller’s speaker. While the overall design of the game is the same, the graphical and technical aspects of it have vastly improved.
3. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
There’s a lot to say about interactive exploration game, for example, they offer an interesting perspective to what a game is, and how we interact with it. In this game, you explore a small English town where all the inhabitants have disappeared by activating small orbs of light which clue you in to parts of the story. Of course, there has been some argument that the game could have explored more, that being said though, this game is still an excellent interactive story from a new developer.
2. Journey
One of the most beautiful and yet most simple games ever developed, this game really pushes the boundaries of minimalist game design. Considered one of the greatest games of all time, you are in control of a mysterious robed figure on their journey across a desert to a mountain on the other side. Most of this quest is completed through solving puzzles that are just intricate enough to be interesting, but not frustrating.
The game is completely encompassed in the atmosphere it creates without any words spoken, or any instructions given. The narrative and gameplay are completely introduced organically within the game. If you enjoy esoteric, quirky and unique games, then is definitely a game you should get.
1. Bloodborne
Another game from our article ‘Les meilleurs jeux vidéo d'horreur de 2015’ and for good reason. Bloodborne is a dark exploration of an incredibly hostile world that would really like it if you weren’t there. With its roguelike elements and intense monsters and boss fights, this game really should be in your library, even if you don’t necessarily like this type of game. The graphics are incredible and the whole artwork is just perfect for the theme.
And who knows, you might become good enough to beat the game using a guitar controller!
