Comment corriger l'erreur Badgeprovider s'est malheureusement arrêtée ?

One of the common errors that you may come across if you have an Android phone is the one that states “unfortunately Badge provider has stopped”. While it is not an unusual error, it can be very frustrating since it seems to appear out of nowhere and if you are in the middle of an important task, it can be quite annoying. We’ll talk about the steps that you can follow to get the issue resolved, but before, let’s take a look at what Badgeprovider refers to.
What is BadgeProvider?
BadgeProvider is a type of system app that works in combination with Badge notification, running continuously in the background. It displays pending notifications and it also uses up a lot of battery. It may not deplete the battery, but it does use a lot of it.
How to fix the error
1. The first thing that you need to do is to open Settings and locate application and Application manager.
2. Go to All tabs, then scroll down and look for BadgeProvider. Tap on it to open the settings.
3. You will see multiple options and will need to tap them in the following order:
- Force Stop
- Clear Data
4. Restart your Android phone.
If you are still having the issue, try all the steps again, but tap Disable to deactivate Badgeprovider. After that, the error that says “unfortunately Badgeprovider has stopped” will no longer appear. As a last resource, if the above doesn’t work, you can try a factory reset. Just make sure that you backup your data first.
