AQUOS Crystal is a smartphone made by Sharp which is known for its bezel-less design as there are no bezels on the smartphone. The smartphone has a 5 inch edgeless display and was only available for the Japanese market but was recently launched via Sprint in America as well.
The company is now launching a new smartphone known as AQUOS Crystal X which is an upgraded version of the AQUOS Crystal as it comes with newer and better specs. The smartphone is equipped with a 5.5 inch display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080P, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.23GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and to power it all a 2610mAh battery. The smartphone is also equipped with a 13MP camera on the back while a 1.2MP camera at the front and comes with VoLTE and Harman Kardon sound.
The smartphone will be running Android kitkat out of the box and will be available in three colors including black, white, and pink/red. The price and the availability of the smartphone has not been announced yet plus we are also not sure if the company has plans to launch the smartphone in US, though customers in Japan will be able to pre-order the smartphone on 13th of December.
It’s good to see companies willing to push it to their limits when it comes to the design of the smartphone where LG was the first company to do something like this with their LG G2 and then LG G3, but AQUOS Crystal X is way beyond LG when it comes to a bezel-less smartphone. Sharp announced the AQUOS Crystal X back when the company announced their AQUOS Crystal smartphone but now has plans to launch it.
