Les précommandes du LG V20 de T-Mobile sont ouvertes, prix $769

The LG V20 was announced last month and, with so much time between the announcement and now, you’d think better of LG to wait this long. Well, LG has waited, but customers are getting anxious. With the Galaxy Note 7’s second recall (I’m still in mourning over it), LG has decided to ramp up the hype for its latest smartphone that I think is a rather dramatic improvement over the LG G5. Interested buyers for the T-Mobile LG V20 will be pleased to know that pre-orders for the device are now open — with a believable price tag.

Whereas the LG G5 was $624-$700, the T-Mobile LG V20 will cost $769. This isn’t too bad, but you can prepare to pay $800 after taxes and fees for it — which means that it’s nearly as expensive as the Galaxy Note 7 ($850) and the Google Pixel XL 128GB ($876). The V20 is the best of the LG experience, with Android Nougat, and a huge emphasis on a better audio performance than most phones out there. You’ll have to pay for that and the dual camera setup, but the T-Mobile LG V20 will prove useful to artists and musicians, and those who want to record and playback on their phones before recording professionally for a record.

The LG V20 brings the usual, expected specs to market, with a larger emphasis on audio quality. It seems crazy to not have enough of a description for the device, but the truth of the matter is that LG’s failure to allow a public viewing of the announcement via YouTube, for instance, has let the V20 be shrouded in mystery. I’ve said it before to colleagues of mine that a device that shrouded in mystery will not sell, and I think that LG, with the flop of the G5, could use all the help it can get.

With that said, we’re sure that some of you are excited to get your hands on the upcoming device. Perhaps the 5.7-inch display has won you over, or the hi-fi audio, or the removable battery. There’s something you’re bound to love, and you’ll be able to pre-order the device now for $30 a month for 24 months and $49.99 due at signing, or $769 outright. JUMP! on Demand customers will pay $0 down and $34 a month for 18 months. LG is also giving T-Mobile customers a free pair of H3 B&O headphones — but you’ll have to redeem the offer at LG’s website.
