Le smartphone ViewSonic V55 avec scanner d'iris sera lancé au CES 2015
In the past we have heard rumors about companies like Samsung and LG to include an iris scanner as a biometric system in their smartphone, but those rumors didn’t last as long to take a real form. It looks like a new smartphone that is yet to be launched from Viewsonic will be equipped with an iris scanner at the front of the smartphone.
Viewsonic V55 is what the smartphone is called which was planned to launch in the year 2014, but looks like that won’t be the case anymore and we might see it in the early 2015. In terms of specs the smartphone is said to be equipped with a 5.5 inch display that will support a resolution of 1920 x 1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of onboard storage, 13MP camera on the back which would also have an external add on lens as an accessory.
An iris scanner is what makes the Viewsonic V55 unique and is hidden at the top of the smartphone which is also protected by a sliding component. Unlike a finger print sensor an iris sensor is far more secure which would make sure that only the owner of the smartphone can unlock it.
The iris sensor will also provide other benefits like locking private files or pictures of the user. Viewsonic is not well recognized when it comes to smartphones and it’s good to see companies like Viewsonic bringing new technology to biometic systems on a smartphone.
The launch date of Viewsonic V55 is still unknown so we cant be sure when the company will launch their smartphone but CES and Mobile World Congress is just around the corner. Plus the smartphone is not equipped with high end specs so it would probably retail for a price that is competitive.
