Using drafts in Instagram helps you to create a post and save it for a later review before you put it out to go on live. How to Access and Manage Instagram Drafts

How to Delete Instagram Drafts
Regular Photo or Video Posts
- Go to your Instagram app
- Tap on the button to create a new post
- Go to drafts tab
- Click manager
- Tap on edit button found on the upper right-hand corner
- Select drafts you would wish to delete
- Tap delete or discard
Deleting Instagram Stories and Reels
- Go to Instagram app
- Create a new post
- Swipe to Story or Reel
- Tap on the gallery icon
- Select Drafts icon
- Tap Select button found on the top right corner
- Select drafts you would wish to delete
- Tap delete
- To confirm, press delete again
How to Save Drafts on Instagram
Now that you have been able to access your drafts, you would have to create your draft. To do this, you would need to use your Instagram app since the browser version does not have this feature yet.
Once your Instagram app is open, tap on the button which creates a new post. Select the files which you would want to upload. Select create a post or story or reel. Edit your post as you would like it to look like. Apply hashtags as you wish. Keep in mind that you would only be able to create a draft if you made edits within the app itself.
Once you are happy with your post and edits, exit the main editing tool by tapping on the back arrow found on the top left corner. A popup message will appear asking you if you would like to discard your changes or save as a draft. Go back all the way out and your draft will be saved.
